No, not because my last name is Green. And, not because I really like the color green. And, not because Green is my son's favorite color. I just realized today that by riding the bus to my job everyday, I am actually contributing to the Green efforts. Woohoo!!!
I have always wanted to contribute. I am not quite ready to put my plastics in a separate bag for recycling everyday. I try hard to turn the water off while I brush my teeth. And, I've always thought it would be cool to live in a house that is powered by Solar. (Don't quite have the money for that yet.) Other than these, I never could figure out how I could be Green for my lifestyle. Now, I am contributing!!!
What are you doing to contribute? And try to not rub it in my face.. :-)

Well darling Aunt Mary we live in the land of fruits and nuts so our life is like on auto Green. LOL Recycle, sustainable everything... my smart car, my scooter, my sigg water bottle to save on plastic bottles, my toothbrush is recyclable, etc etc etc. I am really happy to be in a city that has two bins... one is our trash bin and one takes everything that is recyclable and the city sorts it all out. It is a really easy way to do it all. Makes it hard not to recycle. I am proud of your bus riding! Bravo!
Living in the city like Lacy recyclying seems so easy. We have 3 bins in the garage, one for newspaper, cardboard, plastic bottles and outside we have 2 bins, one for soda cans and one for metal cans. Every other week or so we take everything but the metal cans to my church, because they have huges recylce bins. We also give the church all of the printing cartridges for recycling. We have nothing but the flouresent bulbs on every light, I do not buy water bottles and finally, I have canvas bags that I use for shopping at Krogers, Walmart, etc, thus saving the plastic bags.
OK I'm a nerd and have way too much time on my hand.
