So, I'm listening to Pandora today at work. I have about 15 stations saved. I typically change them throughout the day in order to provide a little "spice" to my very bland cube. Anyway, listening to the "Conway Twitty" station right now... yes, I did say Conway Twitty......stop...... stop snickering! Lo and behold, "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers comes on. I just about fell out of my chair laughing.
When I was 11 or 12 years old, my mom and stepdad would take me to the country (Palacios, TX) on many weekends. It was a 3 plus hour drive. I would ride in the back of my stepdad's pick up truck and listen to music. The Gambler was one of my favorites!!!!! I used to sing it at the top of my lungs (cause you can do that in the back of a pickup on the highway...no one hears you.)
How fun it was to hear a song that I haven't heard years! It was even funner to think about a fun time when life was carefree and simple.

Unconditional Love
Saw this on Yahoo today.......
"The power of unconditional love. I mean, there is no power on earth like unconditional love. And I think that if you offered that to your child, I mean you’re 90 percent of the way home. There may be days when you don’t feel like it, it’s not uncritical love, that’s a different animal, but to know you can always come back, that is huge in life. That takes you a long, long way. And I would say that every parent out there that can extend that to their child at an early age, it’s going to make for a better human being."
Warren Buffet reveals "best advice":
What’s the best advice Warren Buffett has ever received? You might be surprised: It has nothing to do with money.
In an exclusive interview with Yahoo! News and The Huffington Post, he credited his father for teaching him how to live, and explained that all parents can make a "better human being" by offering their children unconditional love:

So very true! My mom has provided us with unconditional love that is beyond measure. Now that I am older and have a young adult of my own, I truly understand how she has loved me through so many hard times, kept her mouth shut about relationships that she knew from the beginning would go south, and watched me make the wrong decisions but knew I had to learn my own lessons. She is my HERO in life!
Thank you, Mom, for always being there! I love you so much!
